Before the Procedure:

During the VenaSeal™ Procedure:

●     A needle stick will be used to numb the treatment area, with mild discomfort or stinging possibly experienced.

●     A catheter (a small hollow tube) will be inserted into your leg. You may feel a slight pressure as the catheter is positioned in specific areas to deliver small amounts of medical adhesive.

●     The adhesive will close off the damaged vein, collapsing it permanently. You may sense gentle pulling or jerking during the process.

●     Ultrasound guidance will be used to ensure accurate catheter placement throughout the procedure.

Once the procedure is complete, the catheter will be removed, and a bandage will be applied to protect the puncture site.

After the Procedure:

You will be moved to a recovery area to rest. Dr. Umerani will provide detailed post-procedure instructions to ensure proper healing.
